Boards of directors are accountable for a wide range of responsibilities, from financial oversight to deciding how best to manage resources within the organization. It is a highly-respected position that requires dedication and commitment from anyone who is willing to show in unpaid meetings and read through budget documents and take the legal responsibility for a business. It is important that anyone interested in joining the company’s board of directors understands what their real tasks are prior to committing to the position.
